Comments:

I went to Delta College for my RN degree, then Spring Arbor for a B.A. in Management of Human Resources. Lastly, attended Emory University in Atlanta, GA for post grad work in Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing.

I have worked in Acute Care at the hospital, was a Rehab Nurse for clients hurt in Motor Vehicle Accidents and Worker's Comp. Became a Certified Case Manager, then a Clinical Nurse Consultant for Nursing Homes as a Pharmaceutical Rep., conducting seminars teaching CNA's how to prevent pressure ulcers and helping treatment nurses in healing difficult wounds. Have worked with the senior population for the last 20 years.

Finally, I started my own business which is a Franchise named Visiting Angels, Private Duty. I have 70 + employees (Office staff of 5, CNA's and Home Health Aids,) who help seniors and younger folks in their homes with personal care, meal planning, housekeeping, laundry, errands, appointments, companionship, etc. Have been in business now for over 14 years. Love my work and all the wonderful employees and clients that I have contact with on a daily basis. I am retiring soon and will continue with work as a Certified Grief Counselor and also a Professional Legal Nurse Consultant; working with attorneys regarding Medical Malpractice.

School Story:

Arthur Hill was a wonderful experience as a teenager. I played violin in the orchestra and played in both the Germania and Saginaw Symphonies. I loved the Proms and my favorite class was Biology. I still remember the boys putting a rubber spider on my shoulder in Physics class, which caused me to scream when I turned my head. School has been a wonderful experience for me all of my life. I continue to learn and update my nursing skills and learn new skills on an ongoing basis.

Learning to drive in the school parking lot was a 'trip'. How differently the young learn how to drive nowadays.
