per the obit for David Aldon Turrill of Comstock, Mi. Dave died Thursday October 30, 2008 at home with his family by his side Age 62 yrs. He was born in Saginaw Jan. 25, 1946. He was a teacher sho had a true passion and love for working with children. He created drama programs at each of the schools at which he taught. He coached basketball at Valley Lutheran High School in Saginaw for 15 years as well as at Belding High School for a couple years. David was an accomplished author having 4 books published. He was married to Janice Kay Woodward who predeceased him in 1996. He is survived by his children Amy (John)Klapko Comstock Park and David (Nicole) Turrill, Canton, Mi. and 7 grandchildren. a sister and 1 brother. Funeral Celebration was held at Belding High School Auditorium with interment at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetary in Saginaw.
Dave was a very nice person. I will always remember his friendly smile.
I have some very fond memories of Dave. Dave, Jan, and I formed a folk singing group(the Greensleeves) and performed at Daniel's Den (the old Daniel theatre). He and Jan were truly wonderful people and they will be missed. My sincere condolences go out to their family.
