Joan received her Bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Dayton and taught engineering at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, who always put family first. Joan is survived by her daughters Jane Shade Duys and Becky Honious and Suzi Kirby all of Ohio and 5 grandchildren.
