Freddy and I lived across the street from each other.  We attended (and walked daily to) South School from kindergarten through ninth grade. Plus, we both attended Sunday School together for many years at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Court Street with his sister Susan.  Then we both attended AHHS  together.  His mom and mine were best friends and died within two weeks of each other in 2006, several years after Freddy had died from brain cancer.  Freddy and I shared many walks to school, birthday parties, and childhood memories----playing together during all the seasons while growing up.  One of my infamous memories with him is when we got caught lighting matches by a neighbor while about 5 years ago and that neighbor told our parents.  I don't think we ever forgot the tongue lacing we recieved along with some swipes on the behind--and we still went out and did it again.  I still think of him often and am thankful to have had him as a good buddy in my growing up years.
