So shocked and saddened to hear of Jim's passing! He was always so active and full of life. I was happy I got to see and talk to him at our 50th reunion. My sincere condolences to Jim's family.
I knew Jim from the 7th grade at South as we were in home room together and throughout high school. We met up at the 50th reunion and chatted for a while. It was then that I learned that he and I had served in Viet Nam approx. the same year. Different units and locations. He had indicated then that he had been exposed to agent orange and was receiving treatment . Knowing a number of brothers that lived through agent orange for a number of years, the results are always the same. While Jim and I did not stay in touch all these years I am saddened by his passing and regretfull that I did not know him better.
I was really sad to hear of Jim's passing! I did not get to speak with him at the 50th Reunion but wish I had!
For some odd reason, I thought of Jim several times in the past month, but have not seen him since High School!
My thoughts and prayers go out his family and friends!

Doug Doughty, Bob Rosa, and Ken Feit all knew Jim better than I did but I knew him from the time of Cub Scouts and elementary school. When I saw him after Viet Nam, he did NOT have the thousand-yard-stare; he had the steady gaze of a confident, young warrior.
Unlike Christine, I did get to see him (along with Bill Laverty) at the Friday night Meet and Greet in ’14. It was a real pleasure.
Thanks again to all who helped put together that reunion. Hank
My wife and I are both very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. As stated by so many others, there are many good memories from Grade school thru High school of Jim. One of my best memories of Jim was seeing him cruise by in his red Chevy convertible he drove in our Senior year at AHHS.
I went back and read Jim's report of his time in Vietam and after coming home. Another sad agent orange story. I pray he is now at peace. such a nice man. carol (hanes) Smith

I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He was a very fine human being and a neighborhood friend growing up. What a loss.
