Lenny, Donna & I just found Roger's name in the 'memory' section of the class reunion site; we were dumbfounded and more than saddened.  The memories of our friendship and times spent with you and Roger are some of our fondest - we sorely regret having lost contact with you.  The reunion site also indicates that you are living in the Philippines - we hope to see you at the reunion, but, in the meantime, we would very much enjoy communicating via email: dnbonthelake@gmail.com.  We would really love to hear from you, Lenny; and please accept our deepest condolences - Roger was the best.  Donna & Bill

Lenny,

Roger was my first best friend.  We grew up outside the city in Kochville where we enjoyed many childhood memories.  Winter would find us skating and playing hockey on the ice in the middle of a frozen field, while other times of the year we would haul our electric trains to each others home to set up and race against one another.  In summer, we often played softball at Jewett school which was situated between our homes. Spring might find us hunting pike in the local drainage ditch.   Roger was a great athlete and always someone you wanted on your team for that as well as being an all around good guy.  Many people probably didn't know he had a great voice and often sang in our local church.  I can't begin to estimate how many hours we played as cowboys and of course always won.  Roger had the coolest two wheel bike in the neighborhood - it even had saddlebags.  My life would not have these rich memories and I would have never had such a super best friend.  Sadly missed but always remembered.

Is Roger the son of the algebra teacher at South school? If so, I remember him as being a first class guy, honest and kind, good sense of humor.
